A 1-hour hands-on class in central Budapest where you make a kürtöskalács from scratch, bake it on a rotating grill and take home your cake and a certificate.
Learn to make Hungary's best-loved sweet treat in a welcoming studio in central Budapest. Your local host starts with the history and traditions of the chimney cake, then gives a clear demonstration. You prepare your own dough, roll it into strips and wrap it around a wooden spindle to form the cake's hollow shape. Brushed with sugar, it caramelises to a golden finish on the rotating grill. Top it with cinnamon sugar, vanilla, cocoa or walnut, and enjoy it warm. You take home your creation and a Certificate of Achievement. All ingredients, equipment and an apron are provided.
