A 5-hour trip from Budapest to the Etyek-Buda wine region, visiting 2–3 family-run wine cellars for tastings and sitting down to a traditional Hungarian lunch or dinner.
Leave the city for the Etyek-Buda wine region, about half an hour's drive from Budapest and known for its white and sparkling wines. Travelling by air-conditioned minivan with a local guide, you visit two or three family-owned wine cellars to taste their wines and hear how they are made. Along the way your guide explains the region's terroir, grape varieties and history. The tour also includes a traditional Hungarian meal, served as lunch or dinner depending on the departure. Join a small group, or choose the private option to travel with just your guide. Pickup is available from selected downtown locations, or you can meet at the Opera House bus stop.
